Terms and Conditions for Telemedicine Second Opinion Services
1. Scope of Service
The telemedicine second opinion service ("Service") provides patients with a professional medical consultation based on the submitted medical records and a video consultation with a specialist. This Service is intended to offer additional medical insights and does not replace in-person consultations or treatments.
2. Eligibility and Requirements
- The Service is available to individuals who provide the necessary medical documents and pay the required fees in advance.
- The patient must ensure that all submitted medical information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. Not older than three months.
- If the consultation cannot be conducted in English or German, the patient is responsible for organizing and paying for an interpreter.
3. Fees and Payment
- The total cost for the Service is €300, including a detailed medical report and a 20-minute video consultation.
- Payment must be made in advance. Services will only be rendered after payment has been confirmed.
- Bank transfer details will be provided, and the payment must include the patient’s name, date of birth, and "Medical Consultation" as a reference.
4. Data Privacy and Security
- By using the Service, the patient agrees to the storage, processing, and use of their medical and personal data as described in the Privacy Agreement.
- Data will be shared with authorized medical professionals and service providers solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
- The hospital’s data processing activities are outsourced to Schön Klinik Holding Roseneck SE & Co. KG.
5. Limitations of Service
- The Service is based solely on the medical information provided by the patient. The accuracy and usefulness of the second opinion depend on the completeness and clarity of the submitted documentation.
- This Service is advisory in nature and does not establish a doctor-patient relationship.
- The hospital is not liable for decisions made by the patient based on the second opinion provided.
6. Cancellation Policy
- Patients may cancel the Service up to two workdays before the scheduled video consultation for a full refund.
- Cancellations after this period will not be refunded.
7. Liability
- The hospital and its affiliated providers are not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from the use of this Service.
The patient acknowledges that the second opinion is not a substitute for in-person medical evaluation or emergency care.
8. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from this Service will be resolved under the jurisdiction of German courts.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By proceeding with the Service, the patient confirms their acceptance of these terms and conditions and agrees to comply with all requirements.
