Second Opinion Service Information

The total cost for the service is €300.00, which includes €225.00 for the medical consultation and €75.00 for organizational services. The medical consultation covers the preparation of a detailed medical report with an assessment of the case, and provides the possibility of a 20-minute video consultation with a specialist. The organizational services encompass appointment scheduling and coordination, technical support and provision of necessary infrastructure, communication and coordination with the patient, as well as the organization and review of medical reports. If the conversation cannot be conducted in German or English, the family must organize and pay for an interpreter.

We kindly inform you that the service can only be provided once the payment has been made in advance and received by us. Only after this can the potential appointment for the second opinion be scheduled.

You are encouraged to invite your local physician to discuss your treatment options and diagnostic strategies with our medical specialists. It typically takes 10-14 days to organize an online consultation after we receive your request and medical documents.

The teleconsultation will be conducted using the Teams-System, which can be installed directly on your computer via a link provided by a staff member of International Medical Services. To ensure high-quality video communication, you will need a computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a high-speed internet connection.

A written second opinion from a top specialist will be delivered within 2-4 weeks.
The report will be sent in German or English.
