Specialist Centre for Vascular Diseases

Surgical and interventional vascular surgery

The significance of vascular conditions to general health is often greatly underestimated. They are the number one cause of death in Germany. One in every five people aged over 65 suffers from arterial occlusive disease. We see our task as being the prevention of serious circulatory disturbances in patients with the risk of vascular conditions and especially, of course, guaranteeing you optimal treatment if you have vascular conditions.

Our Range of Services

At our Specialist Centre for Vascular Surgery, we treat all of the diseases of the vascular system, including both the arteries and the veins. We have particular expertise in the following conditions:

  • Aneurysms (abnormal enlargement of the vessels) of the thoracic and  abdominal aorta, the mesenteric arteries and the arteries of the pelvis and legs
  • Aortic dissections (tear in the vessel wall of the aorta)
  • Narrowing of the carotid arteries
  • PVD, arterial occlusive disease (window-shopper's disease) of the  abdominal, pelvic and leg arteries
  • Vascular tumours
  • Varicosities, varicose vein symptoms
  • Chronic, non-healing wounds

"Trailor-made" optimal treatment

The clinic for vascular surgery in Vogtareuth is in the unique position of being able to offer the entire spectrum of (minimally invasive) interventional treatment procedures and the surgical treatment procedures under one roof. This means that we can offer every patient individually a “tailor-made” optimal treatment concept without any “frictional losses” caused by different disciplines working together.

We offer you the full spectrum of vascular surgical diagnosis and treatment from a single source. We support you from the first outpatient contact to your discharge, and beyond with follow-up reviews.
