Directions to the hospital

What you need for your appointment

  • Inpatient hospitalisation for publicly insured patients (obtained from your general practitioner or orthopaedist)
  • Your health insurance card (chip card)
  • Preliminary medical findings such as x-rays, CT and MRI images
  • Currently required orthopaedic aids
  • List of current medications

For patients from all insurers

We admit all insured persons from all health insurance companies and private insurance companies, persons entitled to benefits and direct payers.

Information for patients with statutory health insurance

A prerequisite for inpatient hospital treatment is a referral from the consultant or hospital treating you in accordance with §39 of the Social Insurance Code, or a declaration from the relevant cost bearer to cover the costs (your statutory health insurance, pension insurance or financial assistance authority).

Information for private patients, self-payers and those with supplementary insurance

If you have private health insurance or a private supplemental insurance, you require a written confirmation of cost assumption from your insurance company prior to starting treatment.
