Our Therapy Concepts
Therapists, social workers, psychologists and orthopaedic technicians work very closely together in our therapy centre to provide you with a wide and comprehensive range of treatments.
In addition to improving mobility and function, the focus is also on reducing pain and improving autonomy in everyday life.
To treat you holistically, we perform acupuncture in parallel with conventional therapies. The needles inserted during acupuncture work to dissolve energy blockages in the body. This means that energy can flow freely and pain and discomfort decrease.
Diet and nutritional consulting
How we eat and drink has a lot to do with habits and beliefs. Our ecotrophologists will willingly support you as a patient in orthopaedic rehabilitation to change your eating habits so you can live more healthily in future.
Illnesses and accidents often limit affected persons. Even little limitations in the muscles or sensitivity make movements that otherwise seem completely normal more difficult. In occupational therapy, you will learn to handle your everyday life independently again.
Complex therapy for Parkinson’s
Parkinson’s is a disease that makes the patient’s entire life more difficult with its symptoms. Complex therapy therefore uses different activating treatments put together individually for each patient: These include physiotherapy and occupational therapy as well as speech and language therapy and neuropsychological therapy.
If you find it difficult to speak due to a neurological disease or an accident: Our therapists will help you to communicate more comprehensibly, making it easier to interact with others again.
Manual therapy aims are reducing joint pain and solving mobility limitations. Sensitive diagnoses enable our therapists to find the blockage causing the complaint in your joints and use specific joint movements to stimulate the decisive impulses and release the blockages.
Medical Taping Concept
Medical Taping is an effective as well as pleasant way of supporting muscles, tendons and ligaments in their healing process. The tape lifts and tightens the skin, and the tissue underneath follows. By removing the pressure from the tissues, your pain will fade away.
Physical therapy includes all treatment forms, collectively, that use physical effects such as heat, light or water, to relieve or heal pain. This includes, for instance, massage, heat wrapping or stimulation current applications.
The various types of physiotherapy strengthen your musculature, mobilise your joints and improve posture. You will learn exercises that you can later do regularly without a therapist present, enabling you to live without pain in the long term.
Special focus: Golf physiotherapy
After artificial joint replacement surgery, you will need to adjust your swing as a golfer. On the clinic’s own private putting green, our therapists will show you how you can practise your sport unchecked again.
The Psychological Service will help you to cope better with a chronic illness, pain or other stresses. The focus here is always on the solution of current challenges. You will learn different relaxation techniques and, if you wish, your family can join in.
If you need to talk to someone, you are welcome to approach our chaplains at any time. They will also make time for you at short notice.
Our Social Services team will advise you and your family on any psycho-social and legal questions arising from your illness. We can help you with, among other things, questions and requests for rehabilitation, in organising care measures after your stay in our clinic, and much more.
Sport therapy and physiotherapy
Movement is always good for you and can help during treatment in a number of ways: In movement therapy, you will learn to perceive your body positively. You can become active here and develop confidence in your body with absolutely no pressure to perform. Therapists draw on very different methods for this, to cater to you individually in the best possible way.
Dancing with Parkinson’s
Dance gives back a bit of east and self-confidence to Parkinson’s patients. Dancing promotes balance, connects the body and mind and is simply fun.
