Parkinson’s – our therapy

Parkinson’s disease is a chronic neurological condition which, although not curable, usually responds well to treatment. Our specialists at the certified Parkinson’s specialist hospital in Neustadt, directly on the Baltic Sea, offer you a comprehensive and individually tailored therapy. This consists of a combination of drugs and therapeutic measures, such as special physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dancing or even courses in the in-house therapy pool. In addition, we can also arrange further assistance for you or your relative, for example if you wish to adjust your diet or need support in coping with depression that may be associated with your Parkinson’s disease. In individual cases, neurostimulation as a surgical procedure in the form of a “brain pacemaker”, known as deep brain stimulation, can also be helpful in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. In this case, we will be happy to refer you to our specialists at other Schoen Clinic locations.
