Specialists for orthopaedic conditions in children

It is a very unique situation for your family should your child need orthopaedic or neuro-orthopaedic treatment.

Our experienced paediatric and neuro-orthopaedists specialise in the treatment of orthopaedic and neuromuscular conditions of the entire musculoskeletal system. We will support your child considerately, competently and age-appropriately from infancy to youth. In the case of underlying neurological diseases, the treatment can also extend into adulthood if required. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for your child and to give him or her the best possible chance of an active life.
If surgery is required, we offer you a wide range of paediatric and neuro-orthopaedic procedures. A particular focus lies on minimally invasive procedures, i.e. small skin incisions measuring only a few millimetres and early functional aftercare in line with this.

Medical care

Specialising in the locomotor system of children

We specialise in the treatment of locomotor system conditions in children - from infancy to youth. We also focus on neuromuscular problems such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida and muscular dystrophy. We use conservative as well as gentle surgical methods. In addition to conservative as well as surgical treatment, we can supply our young patients with orthoses. The Orthopaedic Workshop required for this is located in our facility.

We are child experts

The following generally applies: Congenital malpositioning or changes to bones, muscles and joints that form later, should be detected quickly and treated thoroughly. This is the only way to prevent or limit pain and any impairment at a later stage.

The Paediatric Orthopaedists in our hospital specialise in detecting and treating these conditions. We have our own Paediatrics Ward with the option of rooming-in for accompanying parents. We also treat and look after children with multiple severe physical disabilities.

Gentle surgical methods and sensitivity during the follow-up treatment of young patients

Sick children need extra care. We use gentle surgical methods that enable a rapid recovery and the ability to take strain. With a lot of experience and care, we ensure that our young and older patients do not have to suffer pain before and after treatment. We also use medication from the field of homoeopathy. Furthermore, our very experienced care team is here for your child around the clock. Particularly severely disabled children will receive all-round competent care.

Treatment methods appropriate for children

  • Short periods lying down, thanks to the use of extra-light plastic casts
  • Avoiding painful removal of stitches by using dissolving sutures
  • Using transparent hydrocolloid plasters or special zip bandaging that do not have to be replaced every two days
  • A pleasant stay for parents and children since the parent can remain on the ward
