Specialist Centre for Anaesthesia and Intensive Care

Maximum safety and highly effective pain management

Whether a small procedure or a major operation – we offer you the best possible form of anaesthesia. We treat you at the highest medical level so that you can undergo surgery while feeling relaxed with the optimal pain management.

Modern anaesthetic procedures for your safety

We use the entire spectrum of modern anaesthetic procedures for your operation. In addition to classic general anaesthetic, we also use anaesthesia in the spinal region (spinal/peridural anaesthesia) or targeted anaesthesia of individual nerves or nerve groups (regional anaesthesia). Regional anaesthetic is often sufficient for the procedure. If you so wish, deeply relaxing medication can also be administered (analgosedation).

You enjoy the greatest possible safety as we collect detailed information on your current state of health together with you in advance during the premedication consultation. We discuss with you the anaesthesia and follow-up procedure that is most suitable for you and provide you with detailed information about potential side effects.

For us, it is important to record your current state of health accurately. That is how we are able to assess any potential anaesthesia risks and plan additional precautionary examinations in time, if required. These help us to ascertain the optimal anaesthesia concept for you. We then implement this concept sensitively and with a high level of competence in our medically fully equipped environment. All common technical monitoring methods are at our disposal. In our specialised intensive care unit, we exclusively care for orthopaedic patients at ten beds. This means we can also carry out major operations and treat patients with complex concomitant diseases.

Comprehensive pain management before, during and after your procedure

It is especially important to us to offer you the best possible pain management. Depending on the procedure, we create a therapy plan adapted to your special situation with pain medication as an infusion and in tablet form. The possibility of making a quick dose adjustment is already provided. Wherever possible, we combine this drug therapy with additional anaesthesia of your nerves at the site of the surgery (regional anaesthesia), which can be maintained for up to several days. This allows very effective pain relief without significant additional side effects. We use all of the possibilities so that you can undergo surgery while feeling relaxed with the optimal pain management.
