Rotator cuff tear – our treatment

A rotator cuff tear is a shoulder injury caused either by wear (degenerative tear) or by an accident. A rotator cuff tear is generally diagnosed with a physical examination and an MRI scan. If the damage is minor, conservative measures such as painkillers or special exercises in physiotherapy can achieve good results in terms of pain reduction and improved mobility. However, a rotator cuff tear cannot be healed in this way. Especially if you are active in sports and place high demands on the function of your shoulder joint, surgery for your rotator cuff tear is unavoidable.
