Information from A to Z
You can get to our hospital in various ways:
- By car, our main entrance (Dehnhaide 120) takes you to the hospital’s multi-storey car park which is free for the first 30 minutes. For the subsequent two hours, there is a charge of €2 per hour. Every additional hour costs €1.50, with a maximum of €12 per day. Please note that no other parking is available on the hospital premises, except for disabled people.
- Note for severely disabled people:: In the multi-storey car park, there are two dedicated spaces per level. Please see the hospital’s site plan for additional disabled parking.
- If you arrive by public transport, you can use the driving information of the HVV.
- You can reach our hospital with the S-Bahn lines S1 and S11 ("Friedrichsberg")
- using underground lines U1 (“Straßburger Straße”) and U3 (“Dehnhaide”)
- using bus 171 to “Schön Klinik Hamburg Eilbek”, bus 271 to “S-Friedrichsberg” or express bus 36 to “S-Friedrichsberg”.
For discussions and a nice chat, you can find comfortable seating areas everywhere in our hospital, whether in the lobby, the lounge or on the wards. In our rose garden and all around the hospital premises, there are benches that are very inviting to sit for a while.
We know from experience that it makes sense to bring or have brought the following items for your stay in our hospital: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, hair-dryer, soap, razor, bathrobe, sleeping gown, night gown, slippers (non-slip and comfortable), tracksuit, socks and underwear. In case you forget anything - no problem: You can get everyday items from Schön Café and our Hospital Collection.
Flowers bring a lot of joy to a hospital! Vases are available free of charge on every ward. But please note that, for hygiene reasons, potted plants are not permitted in the rooms.
We want you to be comfortable and to recover quickly. In case you have concerns or problems, please confide in our staff.
For safety reasons, the use of electronic devices such as coffee machines or kettles is not permitted in patients’ rooms. Unfortunately, we are also unable to permit the connection of patient television sets or radios in the patient rooms. Please use the TV in your room free of charge. It offers various channels (also see: TV). Open flames (candles) are also prohibited.

“Schön Café” is open every day from 8:00 to 19:00 CET.

Fruit and vegetables, sandwiches and smoothies as well as varied non-meat dishes, organically grown in the region, are for sale in our bright, modern design Green Point Café in Building 2 - not only for patients. With this unique concept, we are pioneers in the German hospital landscape.

Voluntary visitor service
Voluntary staff at Schoen Clinic Hamburg Eilbek provide a visiting service. If you would like to talk to someone or need a small errand run in the confines of the hospital, please let your Ward Management know. Your request will be forwarded to the visiting service staff.
Faxing & copying
Reception will be happy to send your faxes and make photocopies for you.
Our hairdresser is available every Tuesday during your stay and can come to you if you make an appointment. A charge applies for this service, for which you will be billed separately. You can make an appointment on your ward: Simply get in touch with our care staff.
If you would like a pedicure, just let the staff on your ward know. They will be happy to help you make an appointment.
Mineral water, juices and hot drinks are available free of charge on your ward. Please contact your care staff if you would like anything. Various hot drinks are freshly prepared on your ward. In addition, there is a dispenser on every floor offering free water. Plastic bottles for this are available on our wards free of charge.
We accept all common credit cards as well as EC debit cards. You only need your PIN. A 24 hour ATM is available in Building 7 (at Reception).
Statutory Additional Payment
As a patient with statutory insurance, you are obligated to contribute to an inpatient hospital stay - currently a maximum of 28 days per calendar year. The hospital passes this additional payment on to your health insurer.
Internet & Hotspot
You can use the internet on your laptop in our hospital via our hotspot. To access the internet, you need login details. You can buy those from Reception at different rates. As soon as you activate your wireless network card, your laptop will automatically connect with the Schoen Clinic Hamburg Eilbek network.
- In order for the WiFi network to function, you need Wireless LAN 802.11b/g or higher.
- Your notebook must have WiFi activated.
- Not all the functions you know from your internet connection at home are available. They cannot be activated in individual cases either.
- A specific bit rate cannot be guaranteed.
- Any unused credit will not be refunded.
Note: During the current expansion stage, our Internet hotspot does not yet cover all patient rooms.
TV & Radio
Your room is equipped with a TV offering various channels. Use is free of charge. You will need headphones for this, which are available in your room. You can also listen to various radio channels via the TV’s headphones, using the telephone key pad. Please see the flyer “Patient TV and radio operating instructions” for operation and channel selection.
Special Tip: Radio Eilbek
“Radio Eilbek - your request programme at Schoen Clinic Hamburg Eilbek” is the radio station for patients at Schoen Clinic Hamburg Eilbek. You can listen to its programmes on Channel 64. Broadcasting hours are Tuesdays from 15:00 to 17:30 CET, Thursdays 18:00 to 20:00 CET and Sundays from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.
To activate your phone, you need a PIN. You can get it from Reception in Building 7 during office opening hours (Monday to Sunday from 7:00 to 12:00 CET and from 13:00 to 19:00 CET). Staff there will also provide you with all other information relating to the telephone.
A selection of attractive and practical items from our Hospital Collection is available in our Bistro in Building 2. In case you forgot something important - no problem. Items include, for example, bath slippers, bathrobes, manicure sets or colourful key chains, practical pocket umbrellas as a nice souvenir for your loved ones and a charming memory of your stay at Eilbek.
If you want to watch television without being disturbed, headphones are just the right thing! Headphones are available on the ward.
Quiet at night
Every recovery process particularly requires an adequately quiet environment. We therefore ask you to respect night-time peace from 21:00 to 6:00 CET.
You can receive personal mail in our hospital. Arriving mail will be handed to you daily by our staff. Please remember to pass on your exact address, specifying the ward as well. Only then can it be guaranteed that you will receive your mail without delay.

You can pass your outgoing, stamped mail to the ward’s staff. It will then be forwarded. Stamps are available from Schön Café. A post box is located at the entrance of Building 9.
For safety reasons, smoking is strictly prohibited in all hospital buildings. Out of consideration for fellow patients, visitors and our staff, we also request you keep all entrances smoke-free.

The Hospital's Room of Tranquillity
Patients and relatives can find peace and strength in the “Room of Tranquillity” (Building 6). People can think about their situation, talk to others or simply be heard. Praying together provides consolation, strength and hope for the future.
Reception will be happy to help you order a taxi.
Your individual therapy plan is available from Ward Management. We would like to note that if you miss treatments, they will not be repeated. We also reserve the right to modify the therapy plans.
For medical reasons, you may be transferred to another room.
Please do not bring valuables or large amounts of money to our hospital, if possible, because we cannot assume any liability.
