Vascular Centre with Specialist Centre for Angiology and Specialist Centre for Vascular Surgery
Düsseldorf Vascular Centre opened in 1997, a pioneer in North Rhine-Westphalia and Germany. It specialises in diagnosing and treating vascular diseases of all kinds and consists of the Department of Angiology (non-operative and interventional vascular medicine) and the Department of Vascular Surgery (operative vascular medicine).
Genuine co-operation, developed over years, on a functional level that has been specifically created for this, between hospitals in close proximity, is of great significance. This enables a quick and smooth exchange of information so that inter-hospital treatment concepts can be implemented without delay.
As a part of the Vascular Centre, the Angiology Hospital treats all non-operative diseases of the arteries, veins and lymph vessels. This includes all catheter procedures which are carried out in the hospital’s own catheter laboratory. In addition to frequent vascular diseases, we also take care of rarer diseases and those that are harder to diagnose, e.g. relating to small and the smallest vessels. Modern equipment in diagnostics and treatment helps us to implement our specialist medical knowledge.
<!-- END Headline100 --><!-- START Content100a -->This hospital for vascular surgery carries out all surgical procedures relating to the arterial and venous system. During preparatory diagnostics, we determine the exact condition, creating the perfect foundation for subsequent treatment. With 30 beds, the hospital is part of the bed requirement plan for North Rhine-Westphalia. Our consultation hours are open to all patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD), venous diseases (varicose veins, venous thrombosis and post-thrombotic conditions), dialysis patients and vascular patients after surgery. Furthermore, we offer diabetic foot consultation hours.
Düsseldorf Vascular Centre works with inpatient and outpatient facilities which are important for the co-treatment of vascular patients supporting their own general practitioner. This includes kidney specialists, cardiologists, diabetologists, neurologists and ophthalmologists.
Düsseldorf Vascular Centre features all equipment to fulfil its tasks. A state-of-the-art X-ray machine is available, especially for catheter treatment of vascular diseases.
