Proctology at Schoen Clinic Düsseldorf
Trusted proctological treatment in a protected setting
The bowel – it is increasingly the focus of reporting at the moment, no matter whether in daily newspapers, health or women’s magazines, on YouTube or social media. Science is researching the connections between the brain and bowel, and various books on intestinal health have made it to the top of the bestseller lists. Nevertheless, there is still a certain reluctance to go to the doctor at an early stage in the event of symptoms.
When to see a doctor?
The symptoms of proctological conditions are very non-specific, it is not possible to deduce a clinical picture from a symptom.
So find a doctor you can trust.
At Schoen Clinic Düsseldorf, our certified proctology specialists offer you special consultation hours for the various clinical pictures. These take place in a protected setting in the new premises of our proctology department in Düsseldorf.

Modern, gentle treatment methods
As we are approved by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung (Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians), a referral is all that is required for an outpatient appointment. You are treated exclusively by our proctologists and have a contact person for the entire duration of your treatment.
Regardless of whether it is haemorrhoids, diverticular disease or bowel cancer, we always treat you individually and according to the stage of your illness. That means: If the current stage of your disease permits, we will initially provide you with conservative treatment. If the conservative possibilities have been exhausted, our experts can treat you surgically.
If an operation should be necessary, for example in the case of benign or malignant colon diseases (colorectal surgery), our specially trained surgeons operate, where possible, using the keyhole technique (laparoscopic surgery). This minimally invasive surgical technique significantly shortens the recovery phase after an operation and the pain is minimal due to the incisions, which are only five to ten millimetres in size.
Our treatment focuses:
- Anal venous thrombosis
- Anal fissures
- Anal fistulas
- Prolapse of the bowel
- Bowel and anal cancer
- Benign and malignant colon diseases
- Chronic inflammatory bowel disease
- Diverticular disease
- Bowel obstruction
- Defecation disruption (constipation)
- Coccyx fistulas with plastic covering
After a detailed discussion, the proctological examinations are carried out carefully and – if necessary – also on an in-patient basis. If X-ray examinations such as defecography or magnetic resonance imaging are required, the joint radiological practice in our hospital is available to us as a cooperation partner.
