Knee osteoarthritis (gonarthrosis) – our rehabilitation services

After knee osteoarthritis surgery, our rehabilitation at Schoen Clinic Berchtesgadener Land prepares you for your return to everyday life. Our specialists at the acute and rehabilitation clinics have developed comprehensive therapy concepts to treat gonarthrosis and for use after knee TEP. We adapt these individually for you. In the event of pain after knee osteoarthrosis surgery, we combine lymph drainage to reduce swelling with pain-relieving treatments and drugs.

Your rehabilitation plan for the treatment of knee osteoarthrosis or after a prosthesis operation includes, for example, light exercise therapy units for ligaments, tendons and muscles around the knee. In addition, in our experience, exercises in the therapy pool have proven to be effective for knee arthrosis. They not only help to stabilise your muscles and thus your coordination and mobility, but also help to reduce swelling and increase the load capacity of your knee. Medical exercise therapy also increases your endurance capacity. Sport is thus often possible despite knee osteoarthrosis or with a knee prosthesis.
