Registration and Admission
The procedure - how you as a patient can come to our clinic - is stipulated by concrete rules of the insurance companies and payers. The appropriate steps for you are determined by your current situation.
Rehabilitation following a hospital stay
If you are currently in hospital, you will initiate a subsequent rehabilitation with the doctors and social services at the acute hospital. For admission to our clinic, the pre-treatment clinic will make an application for follow-up treatment (AHB). The local social service will contact us and arrange an admission date. The application for this convalescence [AHB application] signed by you is forwarded to your health insurance company or your pension fund and then to our hospital by the social service of the hospital. The insurance provider usually informs us of the present cost agreement. Depending on the state of your health, you can also spend a maximum of 14 days at home between hospital discharge and the start of rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation without previous hospital stay
Do you have health problems that result in limitations in your performance in your professional or everyday life? Then talk to your GP or specialist about whether a comprehensive rehabilitation programme can lessen these problems. Your doctor will then make an application for rehabilitation for you, which they substantiate with medical evidence. Speak to your doctor for a possible treatment in our establishment; you have a legally guaranteed right to choose a clinic.

Rehabilitation after accident at work and occupational disease
Are you being treated for an accident at work or an occupational disease? Then you can opt for a rehabilitation in our orthopaedic expertise centre. We are approved from the umbrella organisation of the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association for both inpatient liability insurance association further treatment (BGSW) and extended outpatient physiotherapy(EAP). This means that you can come to our orthopaedic centre for inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation, where our experienced doctors and therapists prepare you for your professional reintegration. In addition, we can treat you after an accident at work or an occupational disease on prescription by anaccident doctor.
These measures are requested by the social service of the hospital on forms provided by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association. Established doctors recognised by the German Employers' Liability Insurance Association can also apply for extended outpatient physiotherapy (EAP), i.e .outpatient care, and prescribe therapies.
Admission to inpatient hospital treatment (only psychosomatic)
At the Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy Expertise Centre, we also handle patients undergoing in-patient hospital treatment. Before admission we need the following documents:
- Completed registration form
- personal report
- Hospitalisation of the Specialist in Psychiatry, Neurology or Psychosomatic Medicine
- A written cost agreement, depending on payer
- A report from the attending or referring doctor showing the need for in-patient hospital care
- Previous findings, reports of earlier treatment or discharge reports

Admission for private patients
If you would like to register with use, we will require a current diagnostic report. Furthermore, you should make every effort to obtain a cost coverage from your insurer pre-emptively, because this is the only way to ensure that the costs of your stay will be met in full. In addition to the general hospital services (basic rate and remedies), we also offer Comfort Packages with optional services.
