Post-traumatic stress disorder in adolescents – our treatment

If a traumatic event won’t let go of you, you can help with us. Our experienced and caring therapists specialise in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) in adolescents and provide you with support in overcoming your trauma.

To start your therapy, it’s extremely important to build a trusting relationship with your therapist. You’ll discuss the triggers and consequences of your post-traumatic stress disorder as well as your current situation with them. Together, you’ll start by working out what you need to stabilise yourself.

In another process, you’ll decide together whether exposure therapy is the right choice for you to manage your trauma long-term. In addition to our individual and group discussions, your personal therapy plan will also include sport, art or relaxation programmes depending on your needs. You’ll also get the opportunity to talk with other adolescents in similar situations.

You can apply what you've learned from your PTSD treatment in “stress tests” right at home and implement your strategies step by step. We are happy to include your family in the therapy.
