Centre for Neuro- and acute geriatrics

Acute geriatrics for your mobility and independence

With our Elderly Medicine department at Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling Harthausen, we offer a special range of treatments in the field of geriatric medicine. Drawing on our interdisciplinary expertise, we provide you with excellent diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities in the field of geriatric medicine with a focus on neurological and orthopaedic problems. Our experts are particularly specialised in the field of acute geriatrics, i.e. in caring for your acute symptoms. In addition to medical care, our professional treatment also includes specialised nursing and individual therapeutic offers. These are designed for the special needs of regeneration at an advanced age. The focus for us lies on the targeted restoration or improvement of your mobility and independence.

Following the treatment in our acute geriatrics department, it is possible, in selected cases, to take advantage of special geriatric rehabilitation. We will be happy to advise you on this.

Interdisciplinary care in neurogeriatrics

Neurological problems are particularly frequent in old age. Neurogeriatrics takes care of problems such as gait disorders, dizziness, and memory or swallowing disorders and represents a further specialisation at Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling Harthausen. In particular, you can benefit from the first-class expertise of our consultants in cases of restricted mobility or gait and balance disorders. We are also able to provide highly competent care for pain management and orthopaedic clinical pictures. This is possible due to the excellent interdisciplinary and close cooperation with our neurology and orthopaedics departments and pain centre. Our interdisciplinary team of consultants at Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling Harthausen also treats your internal concomitant diseases such as cardiovascular problems or acute infections with ease.
