Hip impingement – our treatment

If the movement of your hip joint is painfully blocked by hip impingement, we will treat you based on the extent of the damage to bone and cartilage. In case of minor symptoms, conservative measures for the targeted treatment of pain and inflammation such as special exercises as part of physiotherapy and the administration of drugs can offer help. At the same time, you should refrain from sport and adapt your behaviour in line with your movement capacities.
If this treatment is unsuccessful or if the joint is already severely damaged, surgery is necessary to correct the causes of your hip impingement – including to prevent the development of hip osteoarthritis. In the Rosenheim region, you will find that our surgeons at the Hip Centre at Schoen Clinic Bad Aibling Harthausen are proven experts with many years of experience in the surgical treatment of hip impingements. We use the minimally invasive surgical procedures of hip arthroscopy wherever possible in order to keep the intervention as gentle as possible for you.
