Treatment methods

Holistically conquer the constant pain

We treat chronic pain in a variety of ways (multi-modal) because the causes vary greatly. Multi-modal pain therapy is a concept in which medical, psychotherapeutic and physiotherapeutic contents are combined. In general, we combine the treatment of your physical symptoms with behavioural therapeutic methods. Because the therapy is supposed to be very intensive, we first recommend a stay at the hospital of at least two weeks.

The goal of the therapy is to improve your quality of life and reduce pain-related movement restrictions. We also want to “help you help yourself” and make you an expert in your pain disorder. You will learn not to let the pain control you, but instead, take control of your life again.

Multi-modal pain therapy: The individual composition is what matters

In multi-modal pain therapy, physical, social and psychological causes are treated. Physicians, psychologists, phsyiotherapists and sports and art therapists develop a customised treatment concept for you consisting of a variety of effective treatment elements.
During your entire stay with us, you will have the same contact therapist who will often reflect on your goals with you and adjust the treatments accordingly.

Potential treatment methods:
  • Physiotherapy
  • Physical therapy, such as electrotherapy or heat treatment
  • Manual medicine/chirotherapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Drug therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Injections directly at the site of the pain
  • Aids
  • Alternative methods, such as Feldenkrais therapy
